Hanover Township is partnering with Northern Illinois Meals Financial institution at no cost summer time meals

Hanover Township works with the Northern Illinois Food Bank in Geneva to help youth from June 7th to August 13th at the community’s Astor Avenue Community Center, 7431 Astor Ave. in Hanover Park to offer free take-away lunches.

Lunch is available Monday through Friday between 11:30 PM and 1:00 PM. Registration is not required.

“For children who are used to having lunch at school every day, it can be difficult to get a uniform lunch during the summer months,” said Brian P. McGuire, head of the Hanover community. “This partnership with the Northern Illinois Food Bank enables us to combat this problem in our own garden.”

There will be no lunch on Monday 5th July as the community offices are closed on Independence Day.
