Crown Sweet Kitchen’s ice cream was named “Greatest Ice Cream in Missouri” | St. Louis headlines

ST. LOUIS ( – A St. Louis tradition, Crown Candy Kitchen, was known for its ice cream.

Their ice cream was named “Best Ice Cream in Missouri” by Food & Wine Magazine (published by KMOV’s parent company Meredith Corporation) and covers all 50 states.

They called the iconic Old North St. Louis cuisine “a slice of Norman Rockwell-style Americana and a short trip away from modern life to some kind of fantasy land where they still mix ice cream in the antique copper kettle.”

According to the Crown Candy menu, their ice cream is “homemade, rich and creamy, but not too sweet! It’s 14% butter fat with flavors mixed in an antique copper candy kettle here in the shop. “
