A person charged with 4 robbers in central Illinois

Peoria, Illinois (WMBD) – A grand jury accused Central Illinois on Tuesday of perpetrating four robbers in April 2021.

John W. Beck, 54, was charged with four robberies between April 8 and 20, including Odel Bank in Livingston County and Elmwood Community Bank in Peoria County.

On April 21, Beck was arrested in Springfield, Illinois on an arrest warrant issued by Livingston County and the Illinois Correctional Bureau and continues to be arrested by Livingston County law enforcement agencies.

Man arrested for several local robbers

If convicted, Beck could face up to 25 years in prison for one armed bank robbery and up to 20 years in prison for two commercial robberies and one bank robbery.
